South Plazas Island

The departure will be from Isla Santa, we will pick you up from the hotel on the bus where we will transport ourselves for 45 minutes to the Itabaca channel.

In the Itabaca channel, the boat awaits us to sail for 1 hour to the South Plazas Island. The island is located east of Santa Cruz. At just 0.13 square kilometers in size and 23 meters high, it is not particularly large, but it does have a variety of flora and fauna to offer.

It is known for the Sesuvium plant, which in summer (January to June) turns into a multicolored plant but mostly looks red, this makes different species of sea lions, land iguanas, marine iguanas that inhabit this very small island, On this island it is also important for the nesting of Tropical Birds, masked boobies, petrels and other species that nest and coexist in this little piece of the Island.

On this island we will walk approximately 2 hours.

Carrion Point

the snorkel will go into the water later. This beautiful lagoon is an inlet where many animals live, including sharks and numerous fish.

The waters are quite calm here, good visibility and quite rich in marine life. There is a sandy place and a reef bar, and many different reef fish are seen here: different types of puffer fish, surgeonfish, angelfish, groupers, hogfish, hawkfish, parrotfish, blue and gold snapper, etc.
